Reinforcement Detail

You can evaluate the provided reinforcements of members, member sets, and representatives as reinforcement detail. The program provides several options for this.

Info

No reinforcement detail is possible for surface reinforcements.

Work Window

Switch to the Navigator – Display. In the Model category, activate the Types for Concrete Design to display the rebars in the model.

For the member reinforcement, you can select which types of longitudinal reinforcement should be displayed. If you also select the Description on -z (top) and Description on +z (bottom) check boxes, the individual positions are applied to the model as a reinforcement detail. The positions are numbered consecutively. On the position members, you can clearly see the number and diameter of similar rebars.

To show the reinforcement detail for stirrups, select the Description check box for this subcategory.

Window "Reinforcement Layout"

Double-click the member in the work window to open the Edit Member dialog box. Switch to the Longitudinal Reinforcement or Shear Reinforcement tab to see the member reinforcement.

Click the Reinforcement Layout button to open the "Reinforcement Layout" window.

In this window, you can define which reinforcement types and descriptions should be displayed for similar rebars ("item members"). The positions are numbered consecutively.

To adjust the view, you can use all mouse functions described in the Graphic Control chapter of the RFEM manual. This allows you to display the reinforcement of the member in a zoomed or spatial view.

The buttons in the toolbar have the following functions:

Button Function
Direct Print Various options of printing the graphic
Design Support Shows or hides the design supports
Top Reinforcement Shows or hides the top reinforcement, including position members
Bottom Reinforcement Shows or hides the bottom reinforcement, including position members
Lateral Reinforcement Shows or hides the lateral (structural) reinforcement, including position members
Stirrup Reinforcement Shows or hides the stirrup reinforcement, including position stirrups
Member Axes Display or hide member axes
Top Reinforcement Description Shows or hides the descriptions of the top reinforcement ("position members")
Bottom Reinforcement Description Shows or hides the descriptions of the bottom reinforcement ("position members")
Secondary Reinforcement Shows or hides the descriptions of the lateral (structural) reinforcement
Stirrup Reinforcement Description Shows or hides the descriptions of the stirrup reinforcement ("position stirrups")
Perpendicular Stirrup Description Shows the descriptions of the stirrup reinforcement parallel or perpendicular to the member
Reinforcement Dimensions Shows or hides the member dimensioning
Anchorage Start Shows or hides the anchorage lengths at the start of rebars
Anchorage End Shows or hides the anchorage lengths at the end of the rebars
Tip

You can save the reinforcement layout settings as a template and use them in other models. This option is described in Chapter Graphic Printout .

Table "Reinforcement Points"

In the Longitudinal Reinforcement or Shear Reinforcement tab of the "Edit Member" dialog box, click the Section Information button to open the Section Properties window.

Switch to the Reinforcement Points tab. It includes the center point coordinates of the individual rebars summarized in a table. They refer to the centroid of the cross-section.

You can also access the "Section Properties" window using the tables of the "Concrete Design" category.

In the Design Check Details and in the Result Diagrams in Section window, you can also open the "Section Properties" window using the Section Information button.
